Day 13 Favourite (legitimate!) Marilyn quote: as told to Ben Hecht in interviews for her autobiography My Story,
“I used to think as I looked out on the Hollywood Night, “There must be thousands of girls sitting alone like me dreaming of becoming a movie star. But I’m not going to worry about them, I’m dreaming the hardest.”
I think this is such a beautiful quote and conveys the sheer strength, ambition and determination Marilyn had within her. This photo was taken by André de Dienes on Tobey Beach in 1949 and I thought it was so fitting and at a perfect time when Marilyn would of been thinking these words and would never of known that she would become the most famous and loved movie star that we ever had.
